Garlic Butter Green Beans & Mushrooms
Garlic Butter Green Beans & Mushrooms

Ingredients:
-
1½ lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
-
12 oz mushrooms, sliced
-
3 tbsp butter
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ small onion, thinly sliced
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
-
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
-
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and blanch green beans for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
-
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and cook until golden brown and their moisture has evaporated.
-
Add sliced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
-
Add green beans, remaining butter, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
-
Cook for another 3–5 minutes until the vegetables are tender and lightly caramelized.
-
Finish with fresh parsley and a splash of lemon juice for a bright, fresh flavor.
-
Serve warm as a delicious side dish with chicken, steak, seafood, or your favorite main course.
