Italian Easter Cheese Bread Recipe

If you are looking for Italian Easter menu recipes you would be happy to add this recipe to your collection: the Easter cheese bread is definitely one of the most classic Easter recipes in central Italy, especially in Tuscany, Umbria and Marche.

Easter Day, “Pasqua”in Italian, is a religious festive holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. During this period you can find traditional processions in every part of Italy, like the Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) in Good Friday that represents the Passion of Christ. The most famous one is celebrated by the Pope at the Colosseum.

You can eat this bread in every Easter meal: in the Sunday Lunch, in the Easter dinner and, above all, in the Easter Breakfast with salami, ham and boiled eggs.

You can make this recipe either using a dough machine or mixing by hand.
