Kentucky Hot Browns
Kentucky Hot Browns
A Kentucky Hot Brown is an open-faced sandwich typically made with thick-sliced toasted bread (often Texas toast), sliced roasted turkey, crisp bacon, tomato slices, and Mornay sauce. The Mornay sauce is a béchamel with added cheese. It’s baked or broiled until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
