Truffle Heart Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
A delicious chocolate chip cookies recipe with a luscious truffle heart is the stuff that baking dreams are made of! Use the best chocolate truffles you can find to ensure a heavenly chocolate center in each cookie. Note: bake extra dough and keep it frozen up to one week in an airtight bag.
Ingredients
Yield: 15 cookies

5 1/2 oz. Bittersweet chocolate, in chips or small chunks

5 1/2 oz. butter, softened

3 oz. brown sugar

3 oz. white sugar

1 large egg
-
8 oz. plain flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder
-
1/2 tsp. salt
-
1/2 cup chopped nuts
-
2 tablespoons milk
-
1 or 2 tablespoons melted butter

15 chocolate truffles
Directions

Turn oven to 375°F

In a bowl, place the softened butter and beat with a wooden spoon until creamy. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix well.

Stir in flour, nuts, chocolate chips and milk, and mix until you have a soft and moist dough.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Scoop spoonfuls of dough into the baking sheet, flattening with the bottom of a wet spoon. Place a chocolate truffle in the middle, and then cover with a small scoop of dough on top.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden but soft.

Remove from oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool down completely.
