Shrimp Burgers with Creamy Cocktail Sauce
Shrimp Burgers with Creamy Cocktail Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup panko
- 1 T Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 T melted butter
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup mayo (the more the creamier)
- 1 pound Shrimp, peeled, deveined (half minced and the other half chopped)
- Hamburger Buns, split, toasted and buttered
Directions
- For the creamy cocktail sauce: equal parts mayo and cocktail sauce. Mix and chill.
- For the burgers: Mix the panko, seasonings, butter, egg whites, mayo together. Fold in the shrimp until blended. Form into four patties.
- Pan fry in 100% olive oil for 2 minutes on the first side and 2-3 minutes on the second until the shrimp turn opaque. I like to use a lid to ensure the insides are cooked.
- Serve the shrimp burger on the toasted bun with lots of sauce!
