Asparagus-Cheese Melt
Ingredients
for 1, easily doubled and tripled and quadrupled..

1 slice favorite bread

2 asparagus spears
-
1 slice favorite prosciutto
-
Fontina cheese
-
Optional to finish: freshly-ground pepper, fresh Parmesan, arugula
Directions

Lightly toast your bread.

Simmer the asparagus in salted water for 3-4 minutes.

Cut into 2 inch slices.

Place prosciutto slice on bread.

Lay asparagus stalks on top of the prosciutto.

With a vegetable peeler, peel of thin slices of fontina cheese.

Put on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F until cheese is melted – about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle pepper and Parmesan over if you wish.

Serve.
