Favorite Italian hoagie-dip
Hoagie Dip
Ingredients:

1/2 small red onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup banana peppers, finely chopped

1/2 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped

1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, chopped
-
1/2 cup pepperoni, (I used Hormel pepperoni minis)

1/4 lb sliced Genoa salami
-
1/4 lb sliced ham
-
1/4 lb sliced turkey
-
1/4 lb sliced provolone cheese
-
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/2 cup mayonnaise
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon spicy mustard
-
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 round loaf of Italian Bread

4 hoagie rolls cut into pieces
Directions:

Dice the meats and cheese. Combine onion, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, meats and cheeses in a large bowl.

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, olive oil, mustard, vinegar, basil, oregano and red pepper. Pour over the meat and veggie mixture and combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Carve out the center of the Italian loaf to make a bowl. Cut the scraps into bite-sized pieces, and add the additional hoagie rolls into slices.
