Potato Pie Stuffed with Sausage and Mushrooms


  •  1 kg of potatoes

  • 400 grams of mushrooms

  • 200 grams of sausage

  • 150 g of soft cheese

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • nutmeg

  • 50 g + 1 tablespoon of Parmesan,

  • salt

  • extra virgin olive oil


  1. Boil the potatoes and mash.

  2. Add 50g or Parmesan cheese, salt, a sprinkling of nutmeg and mix.

  3. In a pan, put the garlic with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil and once it is hot, add the crumbled sausage.

  4. Cook a few minutes.

  5. Add the mushrooms cut into slices, season with salt and cook for 15 minutes with the lid.

  6. If the mushrooms release a lot of water, turn up the flame to make it evaporate.

  7. Grease a cake tin of 18 cm and uses half the potatoes for a covering of the bottom and the edges.

  8. Add the mushroom and sausage mixture on top of the potatoes and then cheese.

  9.  Add the remains potatoes on top.

  10. Add a little olive oil and sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.

  11. Bake 375 for 30 minutes.
