Grilled Asparagus Stuffed Chicken Breasts


  •  4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless

  • 4 slices Provolone cheese

  • 4 basil leaves large

  • ½ lemon juice & zest

  • 12 asparagus spears trimmed

  • Salt & pepper

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil


  1.     Preheat grill to medium-high

  2.     Pound chicken breasts to an even about ½ inch thickness

  3.     Place a slice of cheese in the center of each chicken breast.

  4.     Layer the basil on top of the cheese, then place 3 spears of asparagus on the basil.

  5.     Roll chicken around the stuffing contents, and use a toothpick to secure them.

  6.     Brush oil on all sides and season with salt & pepper

  7.     Squeeze lemon over each roll, and sprinkle with lemon zest

  8.     Grill with the lid closed about 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Internal temperature should be 165°

   Allow chicken to rest 5 minutes before serving.
